CLAVDOLF 625 TABLET

COMPOSITION : Amoxycillin (500mg) + Clavulanic Acid (125mg)

CATEGORY : CLAVDOLF 625 Tablet is a penicillin-type of antibiotic.

USAGE : CLAVDOLF 625 helps in fighting bacterial infections. It is highly effective against infections of the lungs (e.g., pneumonia), ear, nasal sinus, urinary tract, skin, and soft tissue. 

DOSAGE : Use as prescribed by Doctor. Generally Clavdolf 625 is taken twice daily after meal. Duration of the course depends on type and severity of infection.

MECHANISM OF ACTION : CLAVDOLF 625 Tablet contains two different medicines, Amoxycillin and Clavulanic Acid, that work together to kill the bacteria that cause infections. Amoxycillin works by stopping the growth of bacteria. Clavulanic Acid reduces resistance and enhances the activity of Amoxycillin against bacteria.

SIDE EFFECTS : Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

 

 

The combination of amoxicillin and clavulanic acid comes as a tablet, a chewable tablet, an extended-release (long-acting) tablet, and a suspension (liquid) to take by mouth. The tablets, chewable tablets, and suspension are usually taken at the start of a meal every 8 hours (three times a day) or every 12 hours (twice a day). The extended-release tablets are usually taken with a meal or snack every 12 hours (twice a day). To help you remember to take amoxicillin and clavulanate, take it around the same times every day. Follow the directions on your prescription label carefully, and ask your doctor or pharmacist to explain any part you do not understand. Take amoxicillin and clavulanic acid exactly as directed. Do not take more or less of it or take it more often than prescribed by your doctor.  Swallow the extended-release tablets whole; do not chew or crush them.  Shake the liquid well before each use to mix the medication evenly.
